Dance....journal 9/23/2019

Life's a dance, you learn as you go.

Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow.

Don't worry 'bout what you don't know,

life's a dance, you learn as you go. These are words penned by John Michael Montgomery for a country song and they are exactly what we need to hear from time to time!

Speaking of time, time is screaming up on my 15 year survivor anniversary and I don’t know if these years have looked more like a dance or a bad bob and weave attempt in a boxing match.

Survival is tough, it’s a gift and oh so cherished but just like the song says sometimes I lead and sometimes I follow.  If I am brutally honest, sometimes I’m good and sometimes I wallow in the muck and worry rather than dance.

Choreographed dance take time to create, most often telling a moving story without a word, improvised dance just takes off and allows the movement that comes to create a story that is raw and open to much interpretation.  Life is most definitely improvisational dance.

When we are healthy of mind, body and spirit our hearts soar and our inner energy swirls around like the light dancing off a prism.  It is glorious as the joy of life literally spills out of us and our bodies feel lighter and our smiles grow bigger.

Oh how I wish this dance upon the world, one of joy, health, energy and love for the God created bodies we live in while we make our journey upon the earth.

Wish as I may I know that life will come with it’s bumps; some days we will lead, some days we will “wallow” and the dance created by each of us as we swirl through life will be one open to interpretation as the story unfolds before us.

Go, live and dance like this is the best day of your life.
